I think that anything could be highly addictive. Food can be addictive, games, the internet, and of course, drugs. Just like drugs, basically any addiction can be very life threatening. Drugs can cause organ failure, which results in death.
In this situation, Oreos, are high in fat. In a certain part of this article, it states, "Our research supports the theory that high-fat/high-sugar foods stimulate the brain in the same way that drugs do," co-author Joseph Schroeder, an associate professor of neuroscience at Connecticut College in New London, Conn., said in a press release. "It may explain why some people can't resist these foods despite the fact that they know they are bad for them." People sometimes go to food to suppress emotions. Some people eat because they are bored, sad, excited, happy, or confused. Just like with any other food, oreos are the type of food that when you start eating it, you can't stop.
I like the strong argument in the first paragraph. One thing that I would criticize is.. remember to blend you quote formattably. (Well I don't think that is a word) But, what I mean is make it the same as the rest of the blog the same format. I know you copy and pasted the quote, by no means is that wrong, because I do the same. When you talked about, "Some people eat because they are bored, sad, excited, happy, or confused." I do that all the time. Its called being an emotional eater. You eat your emotions out, which is definitely not healthy at all. The rest of the blog is great, continue the great work.
